Fellow Rotarians;

Good afternoon!   Last Thursday hearing our speaker had me pumped for some football and then Friday night arrived and well nuts is all I can say.  I don’t know what the statistics point to but if KSU rushes for less than 100 yards a game, that points to a loss.  So now let's right this ship by bringing on the Ragin Cajons of Louisiana Lafayette!

One of the neat items at our meeting last week is that we have our new speaker system installed!  Thanks to Mel Chastain’s determination and effort for all of this.

I announced at the meeting that your board of directors has approved submitting a request for a district grant in support of our Rotoract Club’s proposal for a water and sanitation project in Guatemala.  This is something they will do over next year’s spring break.  More will follow as the time approaches.

Eric Higgins took the podium to introduce our guest speaker, John Currie as our speaker today.  As K-State’s Athletic Director he gave us an update of all that is going on in KSU athletics and the dedication of the Westside Center addition to the football complex.

Now I would like visit with you about this week’s meeting.  This will be a club assembly.  We do not have a guest speaker.  Vernon Turner will be giving us some instructions on navigating our website and clubrunner.  This is valuable information not only for us as individual Rotarians but also for our standing committees.

After that we will invite you to get with the committee you signed up for.  If you don’t remember we will have the list for you and I will be sending out another e-mail showing the committee’s make up.  If you didn’t sign on for one, no worries, you can sit in on any committee.

So let’s see how this works for everyone.  I appreciate your support and involvement!

See you all for lunch Thursday!

Dick
