Rotary Foundation - Double Recognition Points offer

It was announced last Friday that The Rotary Foundation will give double Foundation recognition points for all recurring contributions made through Rotary Direct to the Annual Programs Fund between April 1 and July 1, 2012.  Rotary Direct, formerly known as TRF-Direct, is the Foundation's program through which Rotarians can have contributions to the Foundation debited automatically from their designated credit or debit card account.   Rotary Direct is a very easy, secure, and effective way to contribute to our Rotary Foundation.  Contributions made through Rotary Direct count toward the annual giving goal and per capita giving calculation of the donor's club.

For eligible contributions,  this promotion will provide double recognition points that may be used to name others as a Paul Harris Fellow or Multiple Paul Harris Fellow.  It will not double the amount of money contributed, and it will not increase the number of points toward the donor's own Paul Harris Fellow status.  (For example, a contribution of $250 will result in $250 credited to the donor's total accumulated giving amount, 250 points toward the donor's own PHF status, and 500 recognition points the donor has available to recognize someone else with a PHF.)  The minimum contribution amount is $10 or more per scheduled transaction.  Again, this promotion is for recurring payments, only, which can be monthly, quarterly, or annually, and not for one-time contributions.

You can sign up for Rotary Direct online or by completing the TRF Contribution form found at this link: http://www.rotary.org/RIdocuments/en_pdf/123en_write.pdf , using section 3 to indicate a recurring contribution.  
For online sign-up, if you aren't already registered on Member Access on the RI website, you will need to do that first.  Then, you will be able to contribute at www.rotary.org/contribute.  You can register for Member Access at the www.rotary.org homepage by clicking on the Member Access button in the top right corner, then click "Register Now" and follow the directions.
