Rotary Club Updates September 27, 2018
- Thanks to Club member Mike Haddock for an excellent program last week. I knew the fire at Hale Library was very damaging, but had no idea just how damaging it was.
- This week our program will be our District President Blanche Parks, who will update us on District 5710 activities and her goals for the year.
- The Shawnee Rotary Club in Johnson County has contributed $500 toward the flood victims in Manhattan. This is just another demonstration of the 4-way test in action. Please contact Past President Vern Hendricks if you have any questions about how to make a contribution in our club’s name.
- The District 5710 Foundation Dinner is November 3, beginning at 6 pm in the Overland Park Sheraton. You can register for this dinner event by going to the District website.
- A big thanks to those who volunteered to support the Bloody Kansas Bike Race. A special thanks to President-Elect Mike Dodson for organizing our club’s efforts.
