Rotary Club Updates November 29, 2018
  • I hope each of you had a Happy Thanksgiving and were safe during our blizzard on  Sunday - whew, that was quite a wind!
  • This week we will hear from our RYLA/Rotaract students on their experience at the RYLA conference last summer.
  • A final reminder that November is the month we remember the Rotary Foundation and the excellent work the Foundation has supported throughout the world.  Our goal this year is to have everyone give something and to average in our giving at least $100 per member.  Each of you should have received a letter in the mail about our effort and support of the Foundation.
  • Don’t forget to put our Rotary on Tap social on your calendar for November 29th.  The social will be at JPs at Union Station (in the KSU Union) from 5pm-7pm.  I understand you can receive two hours of free parking in the KSU parking garage if you buy at least $10 of food and drink (per their website)!  Also, they are preparing a special dessert for which we will receive 100% of the sales for the Rotary Foundation.
  • Please don’t forget to fill out the “mentor form” if you are interested in becoming a mentor for one of our Rotaractors.  I understand we are still short of mentors.
  • December 17 is our Volunteer Day at the Breadbasket.  We need volunteers, so please see Jason Cyr if you can volunteer or email Jayson at
  • The USD 383 Interact Club is now officially recognized by Rotary International – thanks to all involved in making this happen!
