My Fellow Rotarian;

Hello my friends!  A gloomy Tuesday is about over.  I have had a busy day today and this note might not have hit you until Wednesday but then I would feel guilty for not getting it out by Tuesday.

Last Thursday was a fun meeting as we heard Betsy and Bunny from Wamego (extra points for pronouncing Wamego like a true local) talk to us about Kansas Sampler days this coming weekend.   It’s an event you would certainly enjoy and worth your time to venture to the east 18 miles.

This Rotary year is coming to close with just two months more to go.  We are marking June 19th for our annual awards presentation with the highlight being Rotarian of the Year.   If you would like to nominate a fellow Rotarian please get in contact with Ole Olsen or George Ham.  I can think of a number of you that are certainly worthy candidates!

Rotary Foundation will take center stage at this week’s meeting as we hear from Larry Dimmitt on all the good things our giving allows Rotary International to accomplish.

This weekend many Rotarians will be gathering in Kansas City for our District Convention.  Our 2014-2015 District Governor will hail from the Konza club, Debra Rodenbaugh-Schaub.   Also next year’s District Conference will be held here in Manhattan.

Don’t forget to sign up for our Rotary Golf outing to be held May 19th at Manhattan Country Club.

See you for lunch this Thursday!  Thank you for being a Rotarian!
