My Fellow Rotarian;

Well, after Monday’s 4 inch snowfall and slippery streets I guess I should be glad that the sun is shining today and it’s a balmy 38 degrees outside.    I know, I know, wait till tomorrow and it will be mid 60s.  It’s Kansas weather at its finest!

Last week despite being spring break and K-State playing basketball on TV at the same time as our meeting we had a great turnout to hear Senator Moran speak to us.  We are honored that people of note want to appear and speak before our group.  Yes, even politicians!  Senator Moran gave us a bit of his personal background growing up in Kansas as well as taking questions from fellow Rotarians.

This week our speaker will be Rev. Dr. Kennedy F. Mukwindidza from Zimbabwe on the Compassionate Consultation Initiative project.  Thank goodness Past President Ike is introducing him as I would certainly mispronounce his name big time!  All kidding aside, this is a meeting to attend as our speaker shares with us an international perspective.

Thank you all for giving to the Rotary Foundation.   Many of you have stepped up and for that I appreciate it so much.  If you haven’t given, please consider.

Also, don’t forget to sign up for our next Rotary Club event on April 8th at the Manhattan Area Technical College.

See you for lunch this Thursday!  Thank you for being a Rotarian!

Dick
