Fellow Rotarians,

It's hard to believe it's that time of year again, yet the traffic congestion and lack of parking around town would confirm that the students are back and classes are once again in session.  It's an exciting time of year for sure.  Our Rotary Club "class" will be in session this Thursday as w e all have an opportunity to help influence and guide our club's future.  This week we will use our meeting time to have a club "assembly" which allows committees to work while others solicit input from members regarding the club's future. For our new members, Megan Loftin will chair the newly formed "Yellow Tag Committee."  We are anxious to receive input from the new members of the club.  For those members who currently do not have a yellow name tag or serve on a committee, I am looking forward to meeting with you and hearing your ideas regarding our club.    There are plenty of opportunities for everyone to influence our club, so please plan to attend.

Last week we had the pleasure of Todd Holmberg previewing the 2014 McCain Performance Series.  Every year, the lineup of events at McCain gets better and better.  And every year, after Todd's appearance, this Rotary program gets more and more expensive for me as I end up buying more tickets than previously planned.  We are fortunate as a community to have such high quality, diverse events available.

Please take time this week to reflect on our Rotary Club and what we want it to look like in 10 years (or even next year).  Bring your ideas to our meeting and share them.  I hope to see you at lunch this Thursday!
