Fellow Rotarians,

I trust everyone had a safe and enjoyable Thanksgiving holiday.  What a great time of year.  Our club continues to grow and make a positive difference in our community.  At our last meeting, we had a full agenda of announcements, recognition and introductions which is a reflection of the diverse array of activities in which our members are involved. We heard from Darrell Brensing and Rachel Lauder, Co-President of the Rotoract Club, regarding the club's involvement with Adopt A Family program as well as the desire for mentors from our club.  Thanks to all of you who responded by volunteering to be a mentor and by donating financial support for the Adopt A Family project.  Tom Eyestone introduced our MHS Students of The Month Matalyn Mahani and Nick Clark.  Stormy Kennedy introduced our newest member Allison Penner Disbrow. Please welcome Allison at your first opportunity.

Past President Dick Wertzberger and the Nominating Committee have all but completed their work in assembling a fine slate of incoming board members and club officers.  I think you will be pleased with Dick's pending announcement detailing the list of nominees. Thanks to Dick for his great work and to all who have volunteered to serve our club.

If you haven't done so already, please RSVP and plan to attend our club social on Thursday evening, December 11th at the Strecker-Nelson Gallery.  These events are truly enjoyable and this should prove to be another memorable evening.  Secretary George Ham typically notes those in attendance as these events are counted as a makeup for attendance purposes....not that any of us need a makeup opportunity.

This week's program will be provided by Coronado Council Scout Executive Wendy Shaw.  I hope to see you this Thursday for lunch.
